Weekly Resources

As you consider the subsequent years and development of the 3 x 5 club website, he would like it to be as low maintenance as possible. That has, for years, been a part of your perfect picture for an independent, entrepreneurial project: namely, something that I could create, but which would not require an endless maintenance. I think the 3 x 5 club website could fulfill that vision. Indeed, it is perfect for me: on the one hand, the bulk of the work will be done into thousand and 13, and it will require comparatively little from me in subsequent years; on the other hand, unlike a printed book, curriculum, or resource I will have the freedom to continually enhance and improve this particular project.

In any case, one thing that ought to be revisited for subsequent years is the FAQ blog. Nobody is really writing and comments on the blog, and so it doesn't seem to need that venue. Also, I'm not sure that a lot of comments and responses would necessarily be desirable. Accordingly, for future years, I should discontinue the blog approach and, instead, have a tab section that would be called FAQ, which would include numerous sub pages thoughtfully organized. Perhaps the main page could include a list of the questions with links to those pages. That way, you don't have to dispense already written answers with an eye dropper throughout the course of future years. You can just have it all out there for folks to reference as they please. Plus, you can leave the option for asking questions as a form to submit on the website, which in turn would allow you to can continually expand and enhance that particular part of the resource.

Finally, I think that when it comes time to copy the website at the end of the year each year, it would be way easier and better to copy it in this new form than what I had originally picture for 2013.

Slide Show

Every story we see on stage or screen has a stage, a backdrop, a setting, or scenery.  The Holy Land is the stage on which the biblical story is set.  It can be helpful to our reading, therefore, to get a sense for that land.  Accordingly, we will learn some Bible geography during the year.  And we also provide these picture from Israel to give you a feel for the look and feel of the place. 

Bookmarks

Many 3x5 Club members find it helpful to keep a reading schedule handy in their Bibles.  Accordingly, we have prepared calendar bookmarks for each month of the year.  These bookmarks serve as a helpful reminder about each day's reading assignment. 

You are inivted to download the PDF document below.  We recommend printing it onto cardsock. 

Each page of the document featues three months of calendars.  Cut them into individal months, and hten use them as bookmarks in your Bible to help you everyday in your year-long journey.
